    I watched this last night.

Cavendish's sprint was awesome - from a LONG way out (he said 250m), in fifth place
he lit the burners, and simply overtook everyone.

His "lead out man", Renshaw, was already going for the win.

Renshaw *normally* looks pretty happy when Cav gets a win,
since it's normally a "team win", but this time he didn't...

Cavendish "gifted" a stage win for Renshaw in the Devon leg the other
day, so he doesn't really owe him anything.

Let's hope he has a rather different attitude to doping...

    I agree.

What always struck me was that a lot of these racers would probably
have done just as well without the drugs and didn't really need them ..
I reckon they were (my viewpoint/opinion) virtually brainwashed into
believing they needed drugs to operate at the levels they did, which
doesn't take away the magic of some of their rides.

Not at all, the thought never entered my head, what I wrote is my
honest opinion .. Pantani seemed to dance up the mountains and
Abdoujaparov was just an animal .. ;)

Cav has a similar determination to Abdou and an easy style that remonds
    me of Pantani.

Frankly I don't care what drugs the others took, I enjoyed them at the
time of watching and didn't change that opinion much when the shit hit
    the fan.

None of which condones drug-taking in any sport, not just cycling.
