Just sent this to the MP next door ( I'm not sure my MP is capable of
    reading).

"Next week, there will be yet another misguided attempt at eradicating a
problem from the wrong direction (Cycles (Protective Headgear for
Children) – Annette Brooke ) in the interests of the environment, energy
saving and the health of the future population, will you be speaking
against this shroud waving method of following Australia's failed laws?"

She can't speak against it even if she wants to; Bills introduced by
presentation aren't spoken _for_, let alone against. A date will be
set for Second Reading, but lo, there will be no time on that
    day.

    (They do sometimes pass -
    http://www.parliament.uk/documents/commons-information-office/l03.pdf
has a list of private members' bills that have received Royal Assent,
but with the backlog of business in the current session I'd say
there's absolutely no chance with this one.)

If an MP wants to waste her time , Parliment's time, civil servant's
time and my time , then I think that other MP's should also have their
time wasted , eventually the rest of the MPs might gang up on her and
tell her to stop being a stupid cow and actually look at the numbers (
she has a BSc in Economics) rather than handwringing.

I can't find the actual details of the bill. Can someone tell me
    where this is?

    No :).

Private Member's Bills aren't usually printed until close to second
reading, and since this Bill almost certainly won't get a second
reading, it'll probably never be printed. If you actually want to
read the text of the Bill you'll have to ask the member introducing
it. (http://middorsetlibdems.org.uk/en/ will have contact details)

I was going to ask my MP to vote against it (if he gets a vote
anyway). However, since I am still waiting for a reply to things I
wrote to him last year, I'm sure it is already too late.
