The Brompton CEO was interviewed on the Today programme this morning
(I think; I was half asleep) in the business bit around 6.20. He
claimed to be able to unfold it in 8.5 secs, although when tested
apparently it took him a few more.

As always, when the stopwatch is out the performance ability is
inversely proportional to the number of folk watching (or in this case,
    listening).

I reckon 15 seconds is about right for a no-nonsense but not trying to
get a PB fold. I've done it in less, but sometimes when I've tried to
be extra quick I get into more haste, less speed mode.

Advanced users can do a stoppie to fold the back wheel as they step off
(won't work if you've got a Mk 4's fold clip engaged, of course), though
    I've never managed that deliberately.

    Pete.
