    My Brooks B17. Nicely worn in and still only half way along the tensioner.

    Mine's only 25 years old. I tensioned it for the second time ever since
    buying just last week. :)
    Plenty of thread left on the tension bolt, mind! ;-)

    I should have one of those. Only it's been in storage for about
    30 years, as opposed to being in use for 30 years. It went into
    storage when I switched to leather-covered plastic saddles for
    racing. Yes, I know I've no class.

    Should also have a never used Brooks Professional of similar
    vintage. Can't remember whether I bought it for a fiver or was
    given it by someone who bought it for a fiver.

    I guess they'll both now need a few coats of proofide before any
    use. Perhaps I could start using them when I progress to being a
    ROFIL[1]

    [1] ROFIL: Really Old Fart In Lycra. Of much greater antiquity than
    a MAMIL[2]

    [2] MAMIL: Middle-Aged Man In Lycra.
